Thank you for purchasing THE GULLY..

On August 13th Walkabout Women went on a walk to the Cnicht. We only go the Gully, unfortunately Julie Slipped & sustained a broken ankle & two breaks in her leg.

Each woman that day had a role to play , from phoning 999 to alert the MRT - pain relief - emergency blankets- food etc.

It was an incredibly emotional day especially when Julies 3 friends Ceri, Sadie & Janey had to leave to go back to the cars to rendevous ready for when Julie would be taken down to the nearest village. Watching them leave their friend & go was heart breaking, the remaining ladies Amy , Karen , Diane, Christina myself & Hetty the dog stayed with Julie to keep her distracted & comfortable until the MRT arrived and decided Julie would need the coastguard.

Watching MRT take care of Julie & watch her be airlifted away really brought home to all of us how fortunate we are to have these services available to us, which is why I decided to paint the Gully where we sat for 3 hours waiting for help , to raise as much as we can for this charity to help them to continue to support us all when we are out walking, as you never know when you made need them , hopefully you won't but there is always that chance !

Everytime I look at this view now remember how we felt when we saw those red jackets in view coming to help us .
